Our short answer: choose HeyReach to run repeatable LinkedIn campaigns, sender accounts and replies. Choose PhantomBuster to collect, enrich, transform and route fresh data across LinkedIn and other platforms. For many teams, the sensible architecture uses PhantomBuster upstream and HeyReach downstream.

This is an adjacent comparison

Both tools appear in LinkedIn prospecting searches, but they start from different jobs. HeyReach organizes LinkedIn actions into campaigns, rotates senders and centralizes conversations. PhantomBuster provides more than 100 modular automations and workflows across over 15 platforms. A Phantom might collect profiles, find URLs, enrich emails or send data to another system.

PhantomBuster can perform LinkedIn-related actions, but it is not a like-for-like replacement for HeyReach's campaign operating model, unified reply inbox and client sender pools. HeyReach is also not a substitute for PhantomBuster's broad extraction and transformation catalog. Buyers should decide whether the bottleneck is sourcing data or operating conversations.

PhantomBuster bills capacity, not people

Start costs $69 monthly or $56 per month on a $672 annual bill. It provides five automation slots, 20 execution hours, 500 email credits, 10,000 AI credits and 1,000 URL Finder credits per month. Grow is $159 monthly or $128 on a $1,536 annual bill, with 15 slots, 80 hours, 2,500 email credits, 30,000 AI credits and 10,000 URL credits. Scale is $439 or $352 on a $4,224 annual bill, with 50 slots, 300 hours, 10,000 email credits, 90,000 AI credits and 20,000 URL credits.

Those resources are shared by a workspace. The pricing page says unlimited users, while an official April help article says plans include up to 100 workspace members. Treat 100 as the conservative documented figure and confirm the current contractual limit. More users do not create more hours or credits.

Slots, time and credits fail differently

A slot controls how many automations remain active at once, and a multi-step workflow may occupy more than one. Execution time measures how long automations run during the cycle. If time runs out, automations pause until reset or upgrade; PhantomBuster says it does not apply automatic overage charges.

Email, AI and URL credits are separate from execution time. PhantomBuster's official 2026 explainer says an email-discovery attempt consumes a credit even when no match is returned. A URL Finder lookup costs one URL credit. AI consumption varies with the task, prompt and model. These allowances reset and do not roll over, so estimate the number of records reaching each metered step rather than dividing the subscription by one pooled credit total.

The 14-day trial currently lists five slots, two hours, 50 email credits, 1,000 AI credits and 100 URL credits, with exports limited to ten rows. PhantomBuster also documents a lighter ongoing free plan elsewhere. Keep trial and free-plan allowances separate because the vendor pages describe different products.

HeyReach pricing follows senders

HeyReach Growth is $79 monthly, $71 quarterly or $63 annual for each sender below ten. At ten or more senders, rates become $59, $53 and $47. Each Growth sender receives 100 one-time enrichment credits. The plan includes unlimited campaigns, LinkedIn actions, unified inbox, API, webhooks, MCP and Instantly or Smartlead multichannel connections.

Agencies can buy 25 pooled senders for $999 monthly or 50 for $1,399, with lower quarterly and annual rates. These plans add client workspaces, permissions, white labelling and a master view. This expense is easier to justify when the campaign and reply layer is the product requirement, not when the team only wants a weekly data export.

The tools can complement each other

A practical workflow can use PhantomBuster to collect an eligible public signal, enrich and qualify a smaller set, then send approved records to a CRM or HeyReach campaign. PhantomBuster supports API output and connections through HubSpot, n8n, Zapier, Make and MCP. HeyReach provides API, webhooks, MCP and a broader outreach-tool ecosystem. Test duplicate rules, consent handling and stop conditions before automating the handoff.

LinkedIn policy applies to both

LinkedIn prohibits unauthorized tools that scrape or automate activity and may restrict accounts. PhantomBuster's claims about public data or compliant use and HeyReach's account controls do not override that policy. Collection and outreach can also create privacy and email-law obligations outside LinkedIn. Review the intended workflow, lawful basis and retention rules with qualified counsel where necessary.
