Partner disclosure: Arrel partners with Prospeo and may benefit commercially from referrals. We have kept the recommendation conditional, used official sources for both products and called out where Apollo is the better choice.
Our short answer: Prospeo is the cleaner choice when you already have sending and CRM tools and need prospecting data, mobile numbers and enrichment. Apollo is the stronger all-in-one choice when the same team wants a large database, sequencing, calling and workflow features. Apollo publishes annual plan prices; Prospeo's current dollar prices must be checked live.
| Decision | Prospeo | Apollo |
|---|---|---|
| Annual plan price | Verify in the live pricing app; public help lists allowances, not current dollars | Basic $49, Professional $79, Organization $119 per user/month; Organization minimum three seats |
| Credit allowance | 100 free; 2,000 Starter; 5,000 Growth; 15,000 Pro per user/month | 30,000 Basic, 48,000 Professional, 72,000 Organization per seat/year on current annual plans |
| Core scope | People/company search, enrichment, mobile, intent, job changes and API | Data, enrichment, sequences, calling, meetings, deals and workflows |
| Standard email | 1 credit for a verified email | Up to 1 credit for a verified email; no result is free |
| Phone data | 10 credits including email | Varies by standard or waterfall route and provider configuration |
Apollo describes current prices as introductory and is rolling out a new credit system. Existing customers may remain on legacy rules. Confirm prices, credit behavior and features inside your account before buying or renewing.
This is mainly a question of product scope
Apollo can replace several categories at once. Teams can search its database, enrich records, run outbound sequences, make calls, manage meetings and use workflow automation. Consolidation can reduce integrations and give sellers one place to work.
Prospeo is more focused. It supplies people and company search, verified emails, mobile numbers, CSV and CRM enrichment, intent topics, job-change data, API access and MCP support. In a stack that already has a preferred sequencer and CRM, that narrower boundary can be easier to control.
Pick Prospeo
Keep the stack modular
Your sending, CRM and orchestration are already chosen. You want a dedicated data layer with straightforward successful-result credit rules.
Pick Apollo
Consolidate seller workflows
Your team values one product for database search, engagement, calls and workflow management more than best-of-breed components.
The credit numbers need translation
Prospeo charges one credit when it finds a verified email, ten for a mobile with the email included, one for company enrichment and one for a Search API page of up to 25 results. Failed lookups are free, as is re-enrichment of the same record within 90 days. Annual plans grant twelve months of credits upfront; unused credits do not survive renewal.
Apollo's standard verified email can cost one credit. Standard API enrichment can range from one credit for email or demographic data to nine when mobile is included. Waterfall enrichment can cost substantially more because each provider attempt has its own price. Apollo's documentation says email waterfalls are often one to four credits and phone waterfalls eight to 25, but some configurations can run higher. Model the exact endpoint and waterfall you intend to use.
Published pricing is only a starting point
Apollo currently lists Basic at $49, Professional at $79 and Organization at $119 per seat per month when billed annually. The annual credit grants are 30,000, 48,000 and 72,000 per seat. Organization has a three-seat minimum.
Prospeo's current official help center publishes plan allowances and features but sends buyers to the live pricing page for dollars. We therefore will not repeat historic figures. Paid Prospeo plans are per seat, with each seat contributing credits to a team-wide pool.
Choose using total workflow cost
- Data feeding an existing outbound engine: Prospeo is the more natural boundary.
- A small sales team replacing separate database and engagement subscriptions: Apollo can offer better consolidation.
- High-volume API enrichment: test both on real payloads and calculate credits per completed record.
- Agency delivery: check contract terms. Apollo's standard plans are described as internal-business use; reselling or sharing data with clients can require a separate agreement.
- Phone-heavy prospecting: benchmark coverage and cost on your target countries. Do not infer phone economics from email credits.
