Partner disclosure: Arrel partners with Mailpool and may benefit commercially if you choose it. We use current public prices from both companies and show the large scale where Maildoso's listed SMTP rates are lower.
Our short answer: Mailpool fits teams that want one to a few dozen inboxes or a mix of shared, Google, Microsoft and dedicated infrastructure. Maildoso fits cost-led proprietary SMTP fleets, with 30 mailboxes for $75 monthly, 300 for $225 and 1,000 for $499. Its published cap of 15 cold emails per mailbox each day means you should compare daily capacity as well as mailbox count.
| Decision | Mailpool | Maildoso public SMTP plans |
|---|---|---|
| Starting price | $3 for one managed inbox | $75/month for 30 mailboxes |
| 300 mailboxes | $900 list price before volume discount | $225/month |
| 1,000 mailboxes | Custom volume quote is appropriate | $499/month |
| Infrastructure | Managed rotating, Google, Microsoft, dedicated | Proprietary SMTP with IP rotation |
| Published cold-send limit | Varies by inbox type; no shared figure on pricing page | 15 cold emails per mailbox/day |
Maildoso sells other account types, but the $75, $225 and $499 prices on its public page describe proprietary SMTP mailboxes. Do not treat them as Google Workspace prices. Mailpool offers custom agency discounts that are not shown in the list-price calculation.
Maildoso's price curve rewards large fleets
The smallest monthly plan includes 30 mailbox licences at $2.50 each. The next tier includes 300 at $0.75, while 1,000 costs about $0.50 each. Maildoso also lets customers request a custom mailbox count inside the product, but it does not publish the price for every intermediate quantity.
Mailpool's own managed inbox costs $3 monthly or $2.60 annual-equivalent. Thirty inboxes therefore cost $90 monthly at list price, close to Maildoso's $75. At 300, the public figures separate: $900 on Mailpool and $225 on Maildoso. Mailpool invites agencies to request volume pricing, so anyone buying hundreds should compare written quotes instead of multiplying the entry rate.
Mailbox count does not equal send capacity. Maildoso allows 15 cold messages and up to 80 warmup messages per mailbox each day. Three hundred mailboxes therefore support 4,500 published cold sends per day. If a different provider supports another safe volume, size the fleet on that lower operating number before comparing bills.
Domains change monthly and quarterly totals
Maildoso's monthly SMTP plans exclude domains. Registration costs $12 per domain per year, and customers may connect their own domains. Maildoso allows up to 99 mailboxes on one domain but recommends no more than eight. Packing 99 accounts onto each domain may look cheap and create a much larger reputation risk than the vendor's recommended setup.
Legacy quarterly packages bundle domains: 32 mailboxes and eight domains cost $299 per quarter, 68 and 17 cost $499, and 400 and 100 cost $2,199. Compare those as bundles rather than mixing their implied mailbox rate with separate domain math.
Mailpool registers domains for one year and shows the amount during checkout. Its managed, Google and Microsoft mailbox charges do not include a published domain allowance. It lets users transfer purchased domains after cancellation by request.
Pick Mailpool
Use several provider types
You need fewer than 30 inboxes, want Google or Microsoft accounts, need a dedicated path later, or manage clients through separate workspaces and roles.
Pick Maildoso
Drive down SMTP unit cost
You can use proprietary SMTP infrastructure, operate at 300 or more mailboxes and can design campaigns around the 15-cold-send daily limit.
The infrastructure models handle reputation differently
Maildoso owns its SMTP infrastructure and rotates IPs. It runs placement tests every three days, reports mailbox reputation and pauses damaged mailboxes from campaigns for fourteen days so they can recover. Its CAPTCHA domain protection and global tracking-domain system target common infrastructure failures. Those are vendor-described controls; they do not guarantee that a campaign reaches the inbox.
Mailpool lets you choose its rotating infrastructure, Google, Microsoft or a dedicated server. That provider mix gives an agency more ways to distribute risk. Mailpool also monitors deliverability and automates SPF, DKIM and DMARC. Test both on your recipient mix because provider labels cannot predict results for a specific list and message.
Maildoso offers a guarantee rather than a free trial
New customers on monthly SMTP packages receive a 30-day money-back guarantee. It is not a free trial, and other packages follow the separate refund policy. Mailpool offers no free trial; the lowest-cost test is one $3 managed mailbox. Domain fees may remain non-refundable or outside a subscription refund on either platform, so read the checkout terms.
Both APIs automate infrastructure
Maildoso includes API and MCP access. Operators can register domains, create mailboxes, set up authentication records and export accounts to nine sequencers. A mailbox licence can be deleted and recreated without buying a new slot, although the replacement needs warmup.
Mailpool's API also manages domains, DNS and mailbox batches. Its client workspaces support multiple teams and role-based access. Maildoso's public pricing does not document equivalent client roles, so an agency should test how it separates projects and permissions.
Neither provider runs the sequence
Both products provision sending accounts. You still need Instantly, Smartlead or another sequencer for lead lists, message schedules, follow-ups and replies. Add that subscription, domain cost and warmup to each quote. Maildoso includes warmup traffic capacity, but your sequencer must support and configure it correctly.
